Oh and we always make Gulab Jamans from the Desi Box mixes, like Shan & a few indian brands.

Gulab janum.

1 cup dry milk
1/4 cup flour
baking powder
3 tsp butter
milk for the dough
cardemom
oil for deepfrying

1 cup sugar for syrup

Mix, dry milk, flour, baking powder and butter. Make a soft dough adding milk. Make small balls (dry milk dries out fast so need to be fast here). Deep fry on low heat till jamun are golden brown.

Syrup.

Boil one cup sugar with three cups of water for approx 15 min on low heat. Add cardemom. Then add fried jamuns and let them simmer for 15 min. Remove from heat, and you're done :)

Ras malai:

1 cup dr milk
one egg
baking powder
cardemom

1½ liters of milk
Sugar acc. to taste or 4 tbsp

Bring milk to boil and then let it cook over low heat for at least 30 min. Don't add sugar yet.

Mix dry milk, baking powder, cardemom and neat into soft dough adding beaten egg. Do not use oil. Make small balls.

Add sugar in the milk, mix and bring it to boil. Add the balls while milk is boiling, as you roll them, don't keep 'em on side, they'll dry. Let them boil for approx 5 min or till they're done.

Garnish with whatever you like, and you're done.

Never tried to make them self lolz
I rather buy them hahahaha
