KARACHI: A contingent of Rangers paramilitary force raided Nine Zero, the headquarters of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), in Karachi’s Azizabad neighbourhood and detained two members of MQM’s Rabita Committee early on Friday morning.
According to reports, Rangers personnel surrounded the MQM’s Nine Zero offices and sealed all roads leading to the area.
MQM spokesperson Wasay Jalil confirmed the raid in a tweet, saying the Rangers detained MQM’s Rabitta Committee member Qamar Mansoor during the raid.
Another MQM leader, Senior Deputy Convenor Nadeem Nusrat confirmed in a tweet that Rangers also detained Rabita Committee member Kaiful Warah during the raid.
Rangers personnel also entered the Khursheed Memorial Hall at Nine Zero where, according to reports, a search operation was carried out.

This is why MQM comes out of trouble every-time because our agencies overdo things. Yes Altaf hussain’s speech was not desirable when he said that “Rangers are acting as political party on behalf of central Govt” or when he said “Rangers chief should resign and form a political party” but that can not be a reason to raid 90 and make arrests. This wont fly in court for a day.
and this is how MQM is always able to play ethnicity card over and over again. They will beat around the fact that no action was taking against Zardari, Khawaja Asif and Imran khan when they said even worsts things against ISI and Army. In fact Zardari was given safe passage and Khawaj Asif was made defense minister.
This is how all the operations/actions in past have gone down the drain, and seems like this operation will also go down the drain. Govt/Forces should not lose focus and work hard to get rid of killers asnd bhatta khors and not this.
