He can’t utter a word and won’t hear anything, that’s how Ranbir Kapoor is going to be in Anurag Basu’s next film after Kites.
This is strange, but an actor always wants to experiment with his roles and the Kapoor lad is no different. As reported earlier, Anurag wanted Ranbir for his next and now it’s final. The director has not only managed to get him on board but also convinced him to play a deaf and dumb character in his movie.
As learnt, during the narration, Ranbir felt that he can’t do justice to the role and was a bit hesitant to take it, but Basu was confident that Ranbir would be able to pull it off. As a source tells a tabloid,
“It’s a very difficult role. Even though it has shades of humour, the guy Ranbir plays is very complex. During the narration, Ranbir was a bit hesitant, not knowing if he would be able to play a deaf and mute guy, but Basu convinced him otherwise.”
And don’t think that the movie is going to be a simple love story, it’s a romantic thriller and Ranbir is paired opposite two actresses.
One is going to be Asin.
