In reel, the girl who is playing Ranbir Kapoor](http://www.bollywoodmantra.com/tag/ranbir-kapoor/)’s girlfriend has been revealed. She is Sarah, an American actress best known for her role in Cruel Intentions 2 and for playing South African cricketer Hansie Cronje’s wife in the 2008 biopic Hansie. Sara is also a popular American television actress. Prakash Jha has selected Sara for playing Ranbir Kapoor’s ladylove in ‘Rajneeti](http://www.bollywoodmantra.com/tag/rajneeti/)’ after auctioning almost half a dozen of international actresses.
In the film, Ranbir falls for Sara while studying in an American university but he has to leave Sara and come back to India to take up politics run by his family. Later Sara also follows him to India.
Director Prakash Jha said, ‘We chose Sarah after auditioning 30 girls. The role is substantial and she fit the bill because she can act and looks good with Ranbir.’
Actress Katrina Kaif](http://www.bollywoodmantra.com/tag/katrina-kaif/) is also playing a political leader in the film. It is said that her role is inspired from congress politician Sonia Gandhi.
