Very good for a hardworking professional. I hope he will groom in English conditions and will be an asset in the series against Pomies in November. However he will get into team only if Umer Gul didn't come back from his injury.

btw guys 4 those who don't know rana has played league cricket in bradford for a while during pak domestic off season and with county cricket i'm sure he'll excel in spirirt and help his career immensly.

Shoaib Akhter cannot be written off. Shabir has to prove his fitness against any reoccurrence or escalation same with Shoaib. Not too sure about Umer Gul.
Khalil bowled some good decent spells down under.

umer gul unfortunately out for atleast 5 months. his back problem is very serious. :(
