Yeah maybe they were so harsh because I was a strange person to them. Like I did not introduce myself or anything. Just joined them and said I was new to the city. They might have reacted differently if they were some friends or acquaintance or something. So it’s okay.

Lessons learned:

1. Do not ever go to tarawih with your nail paint on.

2. Do not join a religious gathering if you dont know anyone there.

Not sure about 2, but did you ask anyone knowledgeble if 1 is a valid lesson to learn? Its not so much tarawih or even prayers, as far as I know, it is the wudu that is incomplete because of paint. So everything else that has wudu as a requirement also becomes invalid. Am no expert in these matters, but do talk to someone knowledgeable about this instead of going by the ruckus caused by a random woman.
