Rite today in England, the central regent mosque, london confirmed the sighting of the new moon and so did many parts of England but in Newcastle there is some confusion like every year. There r 3 mosques in Newcastle + 1 in Gateshead and elswick mosque are keeping rooza on Saturday as according to them “the moon hasn’t been sighted” but a Bengali mosque said they will keep their 1st rooza as of today {Friday}. The mosque in Gateshead is also going to fast on Saturday???
With all this confusion I would like to ask, shariat kai mutabik what is the ruling in regards to different mosques in 1 single country deciding to NOT fast on the same day to plz a few committee members and what have you. Should one go with the overwhelming majority or stick with their local mosque’s decision!
personally i feel we should’ve kept our 1st rooza on friday instead of saturday down here in the north-east of england. the muslim council of britain confirmed the moon sighting then where is the prob’?
