As ready as I can be. 15th of Shaban fast was a good test drive
**When is sehri and iftaar at your place? How long will the fast be for you?
**
Sehri finishes around 3:15 and Iftar is around 8:50 Do you have vacation or are you going to faint at work in this garmi?
I’ll be working from home for the most part.
Do you plan on keeping it simple but then overeating?
Eat nicely at sehri, simple and light for iftar
Religious goals: Finish up Quran, taraweehs? What do you want to change this time around?
Complete a Qur’an in taraweeh and at least two readings apart from that
Pray in jamat in the masjid as much as possible
Pay off zakaat early in Ramadan
No:no: not ready.
Sehri around 3 something and aftar around 6:30
Vacation
I’ll eat simple as usual
Finish more Quran than last year and taraweehs as usual
**So are you ready?
**
Yes, I’m ready. Kept a fast a week ago, although my belly hurted at the end, it was alright.
**When is sehri and iftaar at your place? How long will the fast be for you?
**
Sehri around 2.30 am and iftaar at 10 pm. I’m just going by the times a week ago for now
**Do you have vacation or are you going to faint at work in this garmi?
**
Vacations thankfully. I don’t think I could survive. Mr and kid have vacations too so we plan on staying up till Sehri and then go to sleep.
**Do you plan on keeping it simple but then overeating? **
The plan is to keep it simple. I’m not into frying stuff. My biggest concern is ice cream. I’m going to buy those soda once which have like 55 calories and hopefully they will do the trick
**Religious goals: Finish up Quran, taraweehs? What do you want to change this time around?
**
I want to finish up a Quran. Probably become more regular with Taraweehs. Need to calculate and pay the zakat as well. Hopefully I can make a good routine and follow it through after ramadan as well.
When is sehri and iftaar at your place? How long will the fast be for you?

Not really. Still so busy with work. I am just going to dive into it
When is sehri and iftaar at your place? How long will the fast be for you?
Sehri is around 5am, we stop eating at 5.30 am or slightly after that. Maghrib is at 7pm or so. Plus minus 15 min.
Do you have vacation or are you going to faint at work in this garmi?
**I’ll be having college classes, working on Sat morns (teaching) and hopefully find a new part time job.
**
Do you plan on keeping it simple but then overeating?
Eat well during sehri, have minimal oil type iftars. Not many pakoras and such.
Religious goals: Finish up Quran, taraweehs? What do you want to change this time around?
**I have been trying to learn Quranic arabic and arabic as a whole, so yes do that. Nouman Ali Khan will be releasing his Ramadan daily video via QuranWeekly youtube channel so I will make it a point to watch that to learn. Also read more Quran, pray diligently and memorize surahs. INSHA ALLAH. **
Don’t feel ready for Ramadan yet. I’m looking forward to waking up for tahajjud because it’s the only time of the year when I get into a good routine for offering supererogatory prayers. The fast will be from around 3.15 am - 9.15 pm here. I won’t be fasting though cus I’ll be 8 months inshAllah but will support the hubbo in whatever way I can (cook nice food for iftar and don’t eat in front of him otherwise?)
Goals: complete one Quran reading. I never get to finish the one Also, tahajjud every day, inshAllah. And continue to play tilawat to my bump.
Aaze: one juz per day - but I also read translation so I’m super slow
NAK is amazing. I love all his lectures. He’s always so up to date and I like his humor too.
One juz is great nnabid and that too with translation :k: I actually always start ahead so that I’m sure I can complete it in Ramadan which is kind of cheating I guess lol.
Can one pray Tahajjud without sleeping after Isha?
