i have some confusions regarding the ramzaan timings in uk. obviously since there is no azaan in uk so we all go for ramzaan calendars/timetables from internet and from our local masjids/islamic centre. What i have noticed is that sehri time ends 15/20 minutes and even 45 minutes before the fajar starts…is the sehri time not meant to end just 1 or 2 minutes before the fajar azaan just like in pakistan?

wasalaam , not really our calender from sehri ending to fajar namaz theres only like 3 4 min not that much of a difference to pak timing:)
Make sure that you are not looking at Jamaat times - Because Jamaat can be done anytime before Sunrise, but strict start times will vary between 5 to 15 minutes before start of Fajr, depending on the season. Subha Sadiq is the time to stop eating Sahoor.
Fajr these days in the UK does not start at 3 ish - it starts much earlier more like 1:50 ish - you should be going by those times.
The people who have made this have taken the interpretation that sahoor stops when Fajr begins, with no time in between … It would be wise to stop eating a few minutes before these times.
Almighty Allah said in Quran: "......And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]......"[Chapter 2 Verse 187]
It means those in touch with Nature know the beautiful effects of early dawn. First appear think white indefinable streaks of light in the east; than a dark zone supervenes, followed by a beautiful pinkish white zone clearly defined from the dark. This is the true dawn; after tha the fast begins, means no more 'sahoor' i.e., sehri time is over.
