Rameses II - Pharaoh mentioned in Quran?

Was it him who was drowned into Red Sea?
Was Aasia the lady who picked up Moses AS from Nile?
What was her relationship with Rameses?
Was she the wife of Rameses or sister of Seti (his father)?

The version of the story I have heard and the one mention in Bible or in the movie Ten Commandment is confusing.

What is the Islamic explaination of these characters?
When did Moses AS 's biological mother died?
Was Aaron his big brother or younger than him?
Who was Joshua? Yooshaa Bin Noo?

Re: Rameses II - Pharaoh mentioned in Quran?

The Pharoah believed to be the Firoune Moosa. whose mummy has been preserved and on display died of old age and suffered from all sorts of diseases. So either he did not drown as is common belief, and was spared or it was some other pharoah.

Haroon (as) died during the life time of Moses (as). It is likely that he was the older brother.

Quran mentions the wife of Pharoah as a pious woman.

Joshua was the Caliph of Moses (as).

Re: Rameses II - Pharaoh mentioned in Quran?

As far as I know,

Bibi Aasiya was Pharoahs wife, and was the one who picked Hazrat Musa up from the Nile. She is named as of the 4 heavenly women, in Islam.

Hazrat Haroon was the older brother of Hazrat Musa. Im not sure when Hazrat Musa's mother passed away, but yes it was Ramses the II who was drowned in the sea.

Re: Rameses II - Pharaoh mentioned in Quran?

isnt there a prophecy in the Quran that Pharoah ramses ll will be preserved for the future genrations to see

Re: Rameses II - Pharaoh mentioned in Quran?

Haroon (AS) was supposed to be older than Musa (AS). I dont know how the pharaoh died but isnt it something like the water wouldnt accept his body and neither would the ground, so they had to put him in a tomb thingie?

i didnt know Bibi Aasiya was one of the four women. Who are the other three? Is one of them Fatima?
