Ramadhan resolution(s)

Do you have one yet? If not, what do you have in mind for the month.

Share your religious/non-religious like fitness, social activities etc to-dos

Re: Ramadhan resolution(s)

Ramadhan Mubaarak…may Allah make this blessed month a golden chance to do ibaadaat, repent an receive salvation. aameen

since i can’t fast due to my failing health, my focus will inshaa Allah be 'ibaadaat, sadaaqaat and aamil-e-swaaleHaat…may Allah give me strength to do what i intend to do…aameen

this year, unfortunately, my social engagements will be drastically curtailed because my mobility is limited now…

Re: Ramadhan resolution(s)

In US, first three days are long-weekend. So it helps in getting over sudden changes like sleep deprivation, coffee/water less day etc. I’m hoping by monday the body will be acting normally

Re: Ramadhan resolution(s)

Aww, man we already had our long weekend here last week.

Umm, let’s see, I’ve been preparing all year for this! I usually fast 1-2 times a month at least so I think I will be good without the food, it’s just the water so planning on eating more veggies like cucumbers and salads to stay hydrated instead of the fried foods at iftaar.

Sleeping as much as I can and then taking naps as appropriate throughout the day.

Still want to do some exercise but I know it will be hard.

Ramadan is amazing for social activities! You see so many more Muslims, and the masjids are always so lively around this time. Iftaars happening, people volunteering in the community more, people smiling more and giving more. It’s going to be awesome!!!
Praying for a blessed, safe and fruitful Ramadan for everyone

Re: Ramadhan resolution(s)

Patience , high ethics, Good food e.t.c

Re: Ramadhan resolution(s)

Yes the environment in masjid is really beautiful. In our local masjid people start gathering around after asar. Youngsters playing basketball/cricket/soccer etc while elders either performing ibadah or having their chat sessions. Ladies gappay haanking seperately. And then a joint iftar everyday, a break after that and then taraweeh resumption which goes till midnight. After iftar we even have Icecream truck vendors etc inside the masjid premises (parking lot) so that makes it looks like a gala

Re: Ramadhan resolution(s)

Yes, patience is really tested during the condition of fasting especially if its this hot. How do you improve high ethics though? Shouldnt it be whole year long?

Re: Ramadhan resolution(s)

Dirty Side: May the tharkaness level go down…
Social Side: More polite and beautiful in conversation.
Religious Side: iska faisal to Allah hi nay karna hia… ham to try kar sakty hian…

Re: Ramadhan resolution(s)

I agree, but Ramadan gives us an opportunity to practice these ethics strictly. For example in ramadan i try to avoid saying bad words during heated arguments..

Re: Ramadhan resolution(s)

Most of the things we do in Ramadhan should be year long, but Ramadhan is a turning point for many and just a month phase for others. I hope it’s a turning point for us instead of a month phase.

Re: Ramadhan resolution(s)

Pray regularly and read the Quran
