I go with the moon sighting method.

I followed moonsighting in Pakistan and Canada where there are strong bodies with a reliable network coast to coast.
When I moved south, I had no choice but follow local mosques. In the entire city of, one organization has 19 masjid and they follow ICNA/Fiqa Consuil/Calculation.
Tonight the organization let individual masjid decide as per the Imam who is going to lead the taraveeh. As a lot of Imams refuse to lead taraveeh until they have news about moon sighting. Tonight it was not even possible to see moon with naked eye or with help even in Chile. Only polynesian islands would have seen it in Pacific.
So the ummah really needs to decide what to do. We can combine both technology and moonsighting together, but the leaders don't want to do IJMAA.
