Ramadan brings good news: Hundreds escape in Taji and Abu Ghraib

BBC News - Iraq jailbreaks: Hundreds escape in Taji and Abu Ghraib

Hundreds of inmates have escaped from two Iraqi prisons after gunmen stormed two jails near Baghdad.
Fighting raged for several hours after the jails - Abu Ghraib to the west of the capital and Taji to the north - came under attack.
Mortar fire and suicide bombs were used to gain access to the jails, whose inmates include al-Qaeda prisoners.
At least 20 members of the security forces were killed as they struggled to regain control.

this is major news not to be found in your mainstream media. i don’t believe iraq’s figures of only 500 prisoners escaped, more likely in the thousands. there’s a major blow to america’s war on ‘terror’ and irani backed iraqi government.

The way things are going it seems Iraq is going for a split into three (Shia, Sunni and Kurds).

Terrorists convicted of murdering civilians is good news for "Janjua." Why drag Ramadan into a story about a massive escape of criminals...

And BBC, the News network you are posting a this link too, is NOT mainstream media?!?!

freedom fighters not criminals. the criminals are sitting in government with theit killer militias.

as for mainstream, if it were ameticans helping these people escape it would be plastered all over the papers

This forum has recently read more like al Qaeda forum of late. Just a note for moderators that you are compromising on the quality of people that may wish to consider joining or participating on Gupshup if you keep giving space to jihadi keyboard kids to express their hate and fantasies.

If most prisoners were held without trial then it is a good news indeed.
