What exciting memories you have of cricket during Ramadan time? :smiley:

We used to play matches that would start around 11 PM, stayed up the whole night. The boundary was very near to the masjid, and there were no night lights in that part of the area, so everytime there was a six or a four, someone with good pair of eyes had to do a long hop and search for the lost ball. Matches ended at 3-4 AM. Run home, grab Sehri and sleep half-day.

hmmm… we use to have 2-3 tournaments simultaneously during ramadan in Karachi.

Night cricket was a must event. Plus we use to have pre iftari evening tournaments including the famous annual “Green Corner” tennis ball tournament featuring the top finger spinners fron PECHS. I remeber going home rignt at the time of iftari and expecting my mother scolding me and cursing my captain and other team members :hehe:

I was in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 2.

I was telling my wife that we were so crazy, we used to play cricket for 2-3 hours after sehri and become killer thirsty at the very begining of a 14 hours long roza in the middle of July :D

Yaar we played regular cricket on ramadan...and last year our team " Gulshan Tigers" played WARID cup we lost in 3rd match....is saal mai broken finger ki wajha say nahi kheel saka...our team lost in 2nd match.........8 larko say match kheela...3 ko police utha ker lay gai LOL
