Wow Mashallah , I admire your line of thinking about getting sawab by making sehri for everyone.
Thanks, :)

Re: Ramadan after Marriage...
i just realized, this is our first ramzan where we both wake up and actually eat for sehri... last year i dont even remember, i was fasting alone so i dont think i had sehri at all... the few years before, i'd wake up on weekends but not on school-days..
well think about getting the sawab by makin **sehri for **everyone..... And its so much fun to wake up early morn and do the sehri.
right!!!
Re: Ramadan after Marriage...
^ See how only all the MEN are encouraging this sawab winning behaviour from women???
Re: Ramadan after Marriage...
Ofcourse, we want you to earn as much sawab as you can! Infact, you can borrow some of our duties err sawab too!
Im soo proud of you for continuing ur education.. must be fun doing it with the hubby!!
I wouldn't exactly call med school fun its definitely a challenge but having him there makes things so much easier!
Sara no I am not living with them I moved out a month ago because our school is pretty far from the in laws place.
Lahorikudi my parents are not too happy about me living on my own but I am learning so much now that we are on our own I think its in my best interest that I juggle so much.

Wow, that's a really good take on it. I know a few people that got married and like the girl and the hubby were in medical school or like the girl was in medical school and the boy was completing his residency and they lived with the boy's parents becuase niether had time to do anything around the house when they got home.

LK yes i know quite a few couples that do that as well. Some even do nikkah and rukhsati when med school is over but I am happy with the decision I made!:)

Re: Ramadan after Marriage...
Our first ramzan after marriage, I had found out on chand raat that I was pregnant so I didn't fast from the start of Ramzan and I was very very tired 99% of the time, so I don't remember getting up for sehri......I think hubby helped himself bechara.
Last few years, it's been hubby who wakes up first, gets the kettle on, eats his meal then calls me and we have tea together; weekends he goes to masjid for fajr, weekdays he prays at home then we go back to sleep (or at least I try!!) and then most days this year my alarm goes 40 minutes later as I go to work early to come home early!
Insha allah for nxt ramzan I am going to make the effort to wake up before him!
But we don't tend to have a big meal at sehri, mostly tea, cakes etc...hubby usually has food leftover from night before!!!
Well i remember i got married in sept, and ramzan started in oct 2006, my in laws were living with us back then, it was my FIL, MIL, SIL, and 3 BILS and my husband cousin. so it was all of us living together and my FIL and MIL would cook omlettem parante or bread and alloo kalvanji salan and would wake us up, we wud sit on the floor and eat and talk and laugh and pray then sleep!
the following year in 2007, it was just me, my husband and 2 BILS, i wud get up and put the kettle on and put the croissants on the toaster and wud place them on the table with butter and jam. wud wake husband and BIL up, eat with a sleepyhead and pray then sleep.
Now, in 2008, what happens is i wakeup and just give tea and tea rusks or cerail, my husband has glass of water and sleeps!
