Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto's political career - will be held in Great Britain

A gem of a story hidden at the bottom of an article on Zardari’s trip to the UK - perhaps the true reason why the allegedly symbolic figurehead leader of Pakistan is not returning to his people during the hour of their greatest suffering.

Only in Pakistani politics is the political career of the governing party’s leader launched by a celebration in a foreign country!!!

On Saturday, Mr Zardari is expected at a rally of his governing Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Birmingham, where, according to reports in his homeland, he is planning to launch the political career of his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The 21-year-old, who completed a history degree at Christ Church, Oxford, in June, has been under special protection by Thames Valley police since the assassination of his mother, Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan’s former prime minister, in December, 2007. He was appointed the PPP’s nominal president a few days after his mother’s murder.

The govt of Pakistan, headed by PM Gilani is heading the rescue effort. Zardari has nothing to do with it.

The best thing he can do is ask foreign govts for more help, which is probably what he is doing.

So what if PPP is having a rally in UK, all major Pakistani parties do. Bilawal’s political career has already been launched, when BB was killed - which is why you know who he is.

Bilawal will obviously be based in Pakistan, and rightfully so.

Despite this media propaganda… ‘according to reports’ :cb:

Re: Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto's political career - will be held in Great Britain

it is pretty pathetic. i dont particularly care about zardari's jaunts, its the future-PM bilawal celebration party thats unbelievably disgusting.

they should unveil him on a throne wearing a crown and holding a sceptre.

State funds would be used to launch Bilawal Bhutto, future Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Mr Zardari will address 3000 members of the Pakistan Peoples Party from behind a bulletproof screen at the Birmingham International Convention Centre on Saturday to launch his son's active political career.

Bilawal Zardari, 21, an Oxford University graduate, is the chairman of the party, but cannot stand for office until he is 25.

Cost of the rally, estimated at £60,000, will be paid from Pakistani state funds. Zardari along with kids are staying in five-star hotels with his huge entourage, tens of big cars

Brilliant, another 60K pounds down the drain!

Re: Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto's political career - will be held in Great Britain

The next generation of looters being groomed for release upon our blood.

Re: Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto’s political career - will be held in Great Britain

you reckon that mucker will be based in Pakistan? he has never lived in that country… NEVER .. he was always either found in dubai or the UK :omg: … Ohhh but yeah i forgot the “democracy is the best revenge” followers believe in monarchy … thats so evident yet the nation is so blind to them.

60,000 POUNDS!
oh god!
I wonder why the paki news channel blaming other countries for the disasters in pakistan dont address all this info of thier own president.

Mr.India - Where do you get your 'facts' from?

Not only is he a cost to Pakistan but probably the UK taxpayer too.

Thames Valley police giving him special protection? Poor kid will have each and every detail of his sordid life (allegedly) in their records. He will be blackmailed easily if he goes against "Western" interests.

Luckly Bilawal - not every one gets a political party handed down to them.

Not everyone gets such a lavish start to the day.

SHAME on the PPP - at such a critical time they waste so much money. SHAME SHAME SHAME!

They go so many votes from KP and this is how they repay them.

Re: Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto's political career - will be held in Great Britain

so how many presidents, prime ministers of the world bring in their kids in 'official meetings' or 'delegations'? or is it restricted to The Kingdom of Bhuttostan?

Re: Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto's political career - will be held in Great Britain

the absence of democracy in PPP is evident from this single event. in any democratic country it would be unthinkable to have this launch rally at this time, at this location, with all the negative media coverage wrt zardari's foreign trips. if it were a party that cared about public perception this would have been put off. but they dont. they know that in the long run it wont matter. the prince will become prime minister when his turn comes (my crystal ball says 4 years after NS's rule and 4 years before NS's son's rule).

its a pity that ANP dont broaden their agenda to become a competetive political party in punjab and sindh. they have a great outlook and history, solid internal democracy, and could have saved us from passed between the bhutto clan and the Sharif clan.

India's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru had her daughter Indira Gandhi on some of the foreign trips.

In India also it is pretty must a dynastic rule

From Jawaharlal Nehru to Indira Gandhi to Rajiv Gandhi to Sonia Gandhi and now Rahul Gandhi.

Every politician is in politics because of their parents.

Re: Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto's political career - will be held in Great Britain

Bilawal is a history major? Freakin loozer. Wasting the money that belongs to the poor.

When will these people in Pakistan realize that these people are out partying in England while people are being swept away by flood waters, there houses, the little property that they have put together........

Its time someone wake up in Pakistan. Some political party etc. Not one person from PPP party has said anything to this dip sh&t.

Re: Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto's political career - will be held in Great Britain

Its disgusting. Maybe Zardari and his son should stay in UK and run for elections there. These crooks are not needed/wanted in Pakistan.

Re: Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto’s political career - will be held in Great Britain

i’ll not comment on the other crap, but the bold part is funny and very true indeed… all he can do is begging, the best he can do is beg other govts for more help, and everyone knows where the help goes of course. and yes hes out for this professional begging session. earlier he used to take his late wife’s picture with him to show and ask for money (like many beggars in pakistan do) but this time he’s preparing his next generation for this profession, not only preparing them for begging, but may be he’s hopping for a little more bucks showing his son and daughter in addition to late wife’s photo, you know he’s going to two different countries, france and uk, some like girls some like guys…

Re: Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto’s political career - will be held in Great Britain

Did anyone notice in the footage that shows Zardari coming out of the plane yesterday, he is wearing a jeans, loose hanging shirt and some random jacket … I was more then disgusted at his shameless wajood , is this the way to arrive in a foreign country on an OFFICIAL tour ?

He wasnt even travelling long distance , he came direct from Paris :smack:
and his daughter , wearing the skimpy top and tightest jeans ! representing muslim country are they? :hmmm:

It was pretty evident they are here for shopping and partying .. and ofcourse to launch the baby snake.

Every news channel in the world , from BBC to Sky news to CNN to france 24 to Jazeera , have Zardari on their top story .. and no one was saying any good words .. this was pure disgrace , disgrace at its highest peak. I think he should commit suicide :naraz:

Re: Rally to launch Bilawal Bhutto's political career - will be held in Great Britain

^ do u have a video of that ? him coming out of the plan

He might have been enjoying the news that 1400+ people hates him no more.. ( the death toll of floods)
