After Censor Board imposed a ban on Rakhi Sawant’s latest song, the item girl has asked them an explanation for their illogical act.
Rakhi warns, “I’ll wait for a week and then I go on a bhookh hartaal in front of the Censor office.”
Annoyed with the verdict of the Censor Board she sent a legal notice to the Board. The drama has cropped up after Censor Board told the actress and company to delete word ‘kamine’ from her latest song of a music album.
The actress defends saying that actor Dharmendra has been saying the word ‘kaminey’ for years but nothing happened.
Rakhi says, “Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey came, were they asleep? If Rakhi Sawant sings Kamini Tera Bhoot Chad Gaya Re, they get stung. The song has been produced by my company Faith Inc. and I’m being damaged."
Censor Board has told that the word ‘kamini’ is inappropriate on television. “"Kyon? In the trailers of Ishqiya they show Vidya Balan punch-drunk on television, and that too in a saree. Is that allowed in our culture? Ladkiyan khule-aam choli utaar rahi hai, protests Rakhi.
She further adds, “What was Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai? What were they asking? We all know what’s behind the choli. If that can be air played for years why my song can’t be telecast?"
