Apparently he has a big following in India,Africa, Japan , China and other asian countries.
I remember he charged $7-8 million for a movie. not bad for a regional movie star eh

Too much use of pop-culture and special effects.

I think India needs a good flick and something awesome I have in mind... but I doubt it will solicit as much publicity... becuase real fighting is often not fun to watch... unless you throw in crazy stunts to string up the punches and kicks.

I have met both Tony Jaa (not his real name) and his mentor Pana Ritikrai.

They are superb athletes and brilliant film stars directors. Ong Bak was a revolutionary series of films and they were groundbreaking. Offcourse I know Pana from years back when he was a top class proffesional boxer. I have deep respect for both of them... Pana is probably the most amazing director of recent times.

Muay Thai is a relatively modern sport, but Muay Boran which is what is presented in most of Ong Bak is ancient and has always been an awesome sight to behold. I was involved in some of the oldest schools of Muay Thai and was co-instuctor with Priya Pichai camps among the best and oldest establishments in the UK.

Aside to Muay Thai I love all martial styles in particular those that have a rich history and practical use. :)

But anywaay I think I should share some of my knowledge though it's probably best to take my time... theres no way one can even begin to delve into milleniums of art.

I clicked on Rajni link to watch and guess what my browser stopped responding and shut down by it self...I am not even kidding...
