apart from the leading ladies, Madhuri, Rekha, Mahima and Manisha its got masala no.s by Urmaila and Sonali

Oh I didnt see this thread, I went to see it yesterday.. so wanted to compare notes with someone whose seen it..
It is an amazing movie, very different but the acting was SUPERB - some fantastic talent! heavily star studded but nevertheless a FAB movie - plz plz someone whose seen it - lets compare!

Madhuri looks great! and so does Manisha (for once), mahima does justice to her role..

BJP workers burnt an effigy of Lajja director Rajkumar Santoshi and posters of Madhuri Dixit in Bhopal on September 3.
They were protesting against "objectionable dialogues" against Hindu gods and goddesses in the film.
This is the second time this year that a demonstration against a Hindi film has been staged in the city.
On July 19, the Youth Congress had staged a violent demonstration against Gadar.

its soo surprising that after spending sooo many years in the industry Madhuri still looks extremely beautiful and hasnt really aged all that much! ( probably coz all of that makeup

yesterday i watched the movie ... presentation is a beat different .... basically manisha takes u thro the movie ... she is kind of ancher who experiences the pain of women ... wife (manisha), Daughter(Mahima), Lover (Madhuri) and Mother (Rekha) ....
excellent acting by everyone .... speed is good ... songs are ok and few (bcos there r almost 6 heroins)
I liked the performance of Ajay Devgan and Madhuri .....

i havent even seen the movie yet what i m trying to say is when muslim were protesting agisnt Gadar! you hindo's call the movie entertainment! but now when a lajja soppose to have something aginst indian god all the hypo hindo on the street protesting! whatever happend to the entertainment?

Lajja -- still in troubled waters
The pro-Hindu Shiv Sena demanded an immediate ban on Lajja because it, in their opinion, denigrated gods and goddesses.
The president of the Nothern Unit of the Sena said that if the film continued its run, they would stall the screening using their own methods.
He also wrote to the Information and Broadcasting Minister Sushma Swaraj urging her prohibit the screening of the film in Delhi and other Northern states.
The Shiv Sena said they would not tolerate any insult to the Hindu gods and goddesses and will take all steps to deal with any such attempt. They objected to the scene where goddess Sita was shown taking alcohol
