Not liking it. There is no cohesion of colors or design concept, at all. It looks like a mishmash of your mom’s old dupatta’s fabric, topped with random christmas time tassels, from some bargain basement. It only looks somewhat presentable because it is on a runway. In real life, it will look doubly putrid. If that’s the look you’re going for, which it seems you are, then I give it a yay.:biggthumb

You're right. Rajasthani generally has a much fuller skirt and consists of colors in the deep maroon/orange and cream family.

from what i have seen…the blouse can either be a a choli style or a slit ‘short’ kameez..

^ actually Rajistani lenghas, the traditional ones consists of four items.
The skirt, the duppatta, a choli which is basically the size of the bra and a shirt to wear over the choli.
All these four times are a part of the Rajistani lengha and each one has a different name which I dont remember.

Easy.. I dont the like the colors, they dont appeal to me, therefore to me, it is ugly... no rocket science involved. :)

Yeah...exactly. It would have been better if there was no kaam on the red part and the border of the dupatta was green instead of orange. I think I would love to re-design this lengha... :D

i think rani mukherjee wore something like that in paheli right?
how about the dresses that aishwarya wore in hum dil de chuke sanam? i thought they showed a rajasthani culture and that was the rajasthani dress? it looked like a plain lengha to me...
