i LOVE this Ghazal…it was due to Rajesh Khanna using Kishore Kumar’s voice the latter’s comeback was made possible.

for Sajalina...you know that he was a singer and an actor...he used to sing for himself mostly...then he went down with his acting career...after Aradhna songs, he had a come back in a big way which caused Rafi to decline until he rebounded with Laila Majnu songs! :)

i think in those days hero's looks were paramount and he wasn't the typical hero type. he also played a typical Kishore Kumar roles...he was more suited behind the camera than in the front. he was a great director, great write and a great singer...his voice matured in the meantime and he because a success. he did try at comedy paRosan, sadhu N shaitan etc but didn't click much with the audience. i liked him more as a singer, writer and director than an actor. it does NOT also mean that he was a BAD actor!
