Oh no you didn’t - Because as I said so before, my camera has captured it for you all!

Here, these are now resized to 1024 x 768 resolution (so will fit the desktop very nicely).



Although I am very happy that our Sufi Bhai also shared with us his picture. But somewhat disappointed too. As I had hoped that more people would have taken pictures of it. Even on the web, there is just this one person at Flickr named Anas Ahmad who has posted his pictures for everyone to see.

There are of course a few video clips of it on YouTube. But seriously, I had expected a lot more…

I mean it people, if anyone has got any pictures of the Rainbow we had on the evening of 6th June 2010 in Karachi - Then please share it with us! Also, if anyone of you have ever taken a picture of a Rainbow (or know someone who has), no matter from where in the world, and no matter how long ago, please do post it here.

I think only few people notice these things in Karachi. I have seen rainbow in Karachi at least 3 times in my life.

First time I remember seeing one in Karachi was way back in 1979 (when I was a toddler). That Rainbow was a lot thicker and brighter then this one. Probably because it was against a very dark cloudy background. And now (after 31 years) I got to see this one!

I also saw the total solar eclipse we had in Karachi. August of 1999 it was, unfortunately I didn't have a digital camera at the time - And my film camera really let me down that day... But I will forever remember that sight, which lasted for 1 minute and 18 seconds!

I caught this rainbow in a site camp of City of Misurat, Libya… Although its really dim but i thought i should share in this thread …

And i am still chasing that pot o gold, i once found several at the foot of a rainbow but discarded the vessels cos they were the wrong shape.

Life is full of young people chasing rainbows often we find the pot of gold but we don’t realsie it’s value and we throw it aside after the next one.

I bet if you had been in Karachi at the time - Then with your professional capabilities, the pictures would have been at least 10 times better! :)
