Anyone have a tried and tested rainbow cake recipe
Re: rainbow cake
I think ks09 made it once
Re: rainbow cake
kp also made it
Re: rainbow cake
its pretty easy, just as easy as making a plain box cake mix…if you go for that, take white or vanilla cake mix, make the batter as per the instructions…and then divide into 6 bowls, put food collring in each bowl and pour them in teh pan and bake as directed on the box.

Re: rainbow cake
^Lol.
You basically need to make lots of very thin cakes to make up the layers. If you’ve got all day and only one tin, then you can bake one at a time. You just need to make sure the weight of mixture you put in the tin is exactly the same each time, so the layers are all the same.
Re: rainbow cake
Or you can do it all in one tin by pouring the coloured batter on top of each other, you get more of a marbled effect that way though.
Re: rainbow cake
Ok 7 bowls.
and I forgot there’s a layered one too
but I’ve made the marbled one…if u know how to make regular cake, this should be easy too!

This polka dot one is cute too! It’s a nice change from the regular rainbow cakes. I’m going to try this for my kids’ eid party this year
