Rafida and Christians in the SAME boat

Assalamu 'ala man itaba’a Al-Houda,

one of the most interesting aspects that sects which deviated from the originally right path share is the fact that very often their most fundamental belief is not found in their own primary religious source.

For instance, the Christians’ most fundamental belief, namely the divinity of Jesus (as) is never mentioned EXPLICITELY in their own Bible. There is not a single, tiny verse in the Bible where Jesus (as) says: “I am God”. So despite their manipulation of their own source, Allah (swt) made it to be a witness against them till the Day of Judgment.

Another example are the Rafida. They believe that the Imaamat is the most important matter in Islam. They even consider it to be so important that no deed nor faith is accepted without having faith in this concept. Yet again, just like the Christians they fail to bring forward a single EXPLICIT verse from the Quraan that proves the Imaamat of 12 humans. Are the Rafida able to base their most important belief for instance on such an EXPLICIT verse for Ali (ra):

“O Dawud (David)! Verily! We have placed you as a successor on earth,…” (Saad, 26)

No.

So what these deviant sects rather do is pathwork. They take a verse out of its context here, and a strange narration there, and another verse out of its context there, force upon them even stranger interpretations and complex analysis to make it look quite impressing for the normal reader and finally conclude whatever they want to believe.

Just compare the “proofs” of the Christians with the “proofs” of the Rafida, you will be surprised to see how similar they are in their structure. I’m convinced that both sects can benefit greatly from each other as far as such patchwork techniques are concerned.

But eventually, you are only fooling yourselves. Really.

When will you wake up?

wa salamu 'ala man itaba’a Al-Houda
