Let’s all do what can be done on an individual basis to help it gain momentum. Oct. 1st is indeed a historic day that will project Muslims in the media but not in a negative light… FINALLY!!!
Assalamu Alaikum
Its the steady diet of kidnapping, beheading, and civilian killing which is hammering our neighbors into thinking negatively about Islam and Muslims in America.
It has caused unfavorable opinion about Islam and Muslims to increase further according to PEW foundation. Every year for the last three years this survey tells us that we are loosing ground. The current survey even points out that African Americans have more of an unfavorable opinion of Muslims today than the general population.
We are loosing friends on a faster bases than we are gaining. I am afraid if something horrible happens in the US again, there may not be as many people standing with us.
While all of us are sad on this state of affairs, our silence is not helping us.
Dear brothers and sisters! Every one else is talking about Islam and Muslims, let us talk as well.
What Sound Vision is doing:
- Beginning October 1st, Sound Vision will broadcast Daily Radio Islam talk show on 1450 AM every day, seven days a week from 6 pm to 7 pm.
- More daily programing can be heard on http://www.RadioIslam.com
Personal Things you can do:
- call in to general talkshows and condemn it as a Muslim any time an civilian person is killed.
- When did your masjid had open house. Volunteer to organize one
- Masjids need to issue statements and send it to their interfaith partners and neighbors.
- Learn the art of communication. No matter what profession you are in, this will help you succeed. In an environment where Muslims are last to be hired and first to be fired, better communication skills will help you survive.

We need volunteers to distribute flyers about the beginning of the Radio in masjids and ethnic Muslims sotres about the daily talk show. Please send us your name address and info on how many you can distribute.

We have enough talkshow hosts at this moment. But we are looking for a few volunteers to write daily news. Will train if you know how to write.
