Have any of you Karachi guppies ridden the new Radio Cabs yet? Well I guess they’re not “new” anymore but still
I haven’t but they look cool and I think I will soon
Today I enquired the rate from Metro and White Radio Cabs for like Clifton to Baloch Colony on Shahrah-e-Faisal and they said if its like below 10-12 km then they take a standard of Rs 250.
That is so expensive I think. Normal cab charges 100-120 for this. So there’s a huge difference.
Its much cooler though to get the radio cab. Its nicer and cleaner and more comfortable and has AC and all that and picks and drops from your doorstep. You just have to call in 40-45 mins in advance.
But why this huge difference in cost? I think its a HUGE cost difference!!!I can imagine the reaons somewhat, but still I wish it was a biiit cheaper atleast.
yes. while i was in karachi in Jan initially i rented out a car w/driver but the last few days i spent calling out metro cabs.
they r expensive in comparison as u say. but they r faaaaar cleaner and comfortable then the rest, hence, i beleive the price can b justified. (not to mention they acutally come to your house rather than going down the road and lookin for a cab....wayyyyy too much hassale.
i guess as more and more of these cabs companies spring up prices will eventually drop.
i remember whn i took the metro in June 04 clifton to airport was 350 this time around i was charged 300. :)
