In recent days, the WA Forum has seen the “esteemed” Director of GUPSHUP refer to all Americans as lemmings, as well as state point-blank the Gora American Guppies collectively believe “Muslims Suck”.
(This and other posts were conveniently removed after the fact.)
But the icing on the cake for these radicalized Mods is this post today from Captain1, who is probably the worst of the lot who recently also characterized Zarqawi as a pious, but “probably” misguided muslim.
Here we have a moderator who finds a suicide attack that killed thousands of innocent people amusing. Unsurprisingly and unforgivingly tasteless.
Is this what the leadership of GUPSHUP wants to project to the world?
People have rights to their personal opinion. When inducted as mods, we do not expect mods to give up their right to post their own opinions. You want to argue the points made by them in a discussion, then post in that thread and share your views. This is why its called a discussion forum. Everyone posts their opinions. There is no such thing as official gupshup position, unless it is announced as such (I can only recall one or two such instances, including our official position that was released after 9/11).
If it was a mod/Admin action that you want to talk about then feel free to raise an issue here.

This is a forum, not a State Department where there is an "official position" on political matters. If you dun like someone's opinion on somehting, move on. If they had insulted you personally, it would have been a different issue.
The views expressed there were my personal views and nothing to do with GS. As a director I have allowed all opinions to be aired within GS and that is what is required. Also you have misrepresented what I had said. Next time read clearly what is written before commenting on it.
Not true in the slightest. Under your reign, insults can be hurled freely at “pro-american” posters, including by mods and yourself, but opposing viewpoints are silenced/deleted.
For example, my post referring to anyone who believed in 9-11 conspiracy theories as a “retard” was deleted, even though 10x worse is written on an hourly basis by those w/anti-american viewpoints.
Faisal- My true grievance is not with thier opinions, which they are certainly entitled to, but with their censorship. This is the net effect of their radicalized viewpoints.
ignorance is bliss. If you can’t grasp the concept of what I’m saying, you’re invited to exit the conversation. I’m sure you must be itching to start one of your extremely lame anti-India threads that no one gives a damn about.
Faisal- As I stated above, my grievance is with the mods/admin applying their radicalized viewpoints to censor posts.
As one example, I posted a comment a few weeks ago referring to anyone who believed in 9-11 conspiracy theories as a “retard”. This post was deleted, even though 10x worse is written on an hourly basis by those w/anti-american viewpoints.

Who are you to ask me to exit this thread? Are you unable to take some criticism of the lameness that you have demonstrated throughout this thread?
You have no problem in one of your own talking about all Palestinian's being killed, yet you are whinging about American's being called lemmings, and a sarcastic comment by a mod. Sad.
As one example, I posted a comment a few weeks ago referring to anyone who believed in 9-11 conspiracy theories as a "retard". This post was deleted, even though 10x worse is written on an hourly basis by those w/anti-american viewpoints.
I understand what you are trying to say, however, if your grievance is based on a single post of yours that contained the word "retard" and the post was removed a few weeks ago, then realistically there is not much that can be done. I do keep an eye on posts removed by the moderators just to ensure consistency in standards; however, the prime responsibility for making sure all rules are applied consistenly on a day-to-day basis rests with ehsan and Saby. I trust they are doing a good job, as complaints about biased moderation are almost non-existent lately. There is always room for improvement, though, and if you can alert the Admins on a more timely basis about any mod action where you feel rules have not been applied consistenly, they will be in a better position to review.
Having said that, as I said before, please don't formulate complaints based on personal views expressed by mods. No one can be completely unbiased in their views, nor do we expect mods/Admins to give up their views. Take them up on their comments in the respective threads.
If there is anything else I can help you with, feel free to send me a PM or start another thread. I do not wish this thread to fall into a mud-slinging match between pro- and anti-American views, so I am closing it.
