I worked last summer in a pharmacy…the manager was really nice (a hindu woman)…but the supervisor was soo horrible…she was a racist/*****y white woman…who always talked bad about everyone the minute they walked out the door…i hated it. she even used to talk bad about the patients when they left:(
anyway, my problem is this:
I only worked there for 2 months (cuz it was a placement). Im a student which means i dont have to pay tax…and can claim it back. i went tax office yesterday and showed them my payslip but they said that i need a P45/P60 form from the place i worked at in order to give the tax back to me. problem is that I wasnt given this form when i left work (I didnt know that I would need it later on!). Now, its been almost a year…and i was advised by tax office to go to the work place and tell them to either 1) give me a P45/P60…or 2) write a letter saying that i worked there and how much tax etc i paid.
I would go back to that place…if the supervisor was nice. but shes such a ***** that i know she will have something bad to say. shes going to be mean and horrible to me cuz its HER who does the payslips etc…and its in her nature to be horrible and intimidating to everyone.
in the future…if i do work, i will be my own boss…i hate working under anyone…especially a woman like her. my dad says i should go to the workplace so im thinking i should.
would it be better if i just went there and talked to her face-to-face…or would she feel better if i phoned her first and told her the situation?
ps. I have to say generally its nicer working with men…you dont have to put up with the *****iness.
I remember once we had a locum pharmacist in (he was really nice pakistani guy)…anyway…she was in her *****y moods again…so i was doing some work and she said something horrible to me. He said to me in front of her “is she always like this to you?”…I didnt say anything…and he said I shouldnt put up with it. then when she went out for abit , he said to me “dont work so hard…just chill out dont do any work…you will work for the rest of your life…so take it easy”…that was nice of him
I suggest you call first, after all it's been a year and since you only worked there 2 months, could be that they have disposed of all paperwork they had of you after your placement came to an end.
Work is funny place where you HAVE to work with all kinds of people and no matter where you work there will always be someone you don't get on with.
My manager is a lovely woman outside of work but at work she is a right cow....i have learned to adjust myself to her mood swings and now it doesn't bother me anymore and i don't take it personally....hehehe if only she knew that all i did was Gupshup all day!!!
You have every right to ask for your P45. Don't be afraid, stand up for your rights. There are people out there dying, women getting raped just because they are standing up for themselves and you can't even build up the courage to ask for your P45?

thanks rizwan....I will get it. I'll just ignore any *****y comments i get.....at the end of the day shes human like me....maybe twice the size but i can still handle her insha-allah.
she’s stressed out with her own life…smokes every 5 mins…shes lonely 30 year old obese woman…who acts more like a man than a woman. abit like trunchbull in Matilda…but worse
and hence takes her anger of her own life out on other people.
in that case you oughta feel sorry for her, be compassionate and kind towards her, after all, isnt that a characteristic of a Muslim, compassion and love for your fellow neighbors ? Or does that not apply since shes a gori :)
I walked out on one of my managers by calling him racist and sexist.. Man could not do a dang thing to me :D

I am sick and tired of letting these idiots say crap.. so this is how i deal with it.. i give them their own medicine and i give them all in one doze... they like to give you in different episode but i like to put the "THE END" part all at once.. :D
Well you have a legal right to get these forms from her. And if you don't need the woman for any recommendations, etc, you can always threaten to report her to the pharmacist's proffessional association (there should be at least one that handles their licenses).

I called her and ask for the P45/statement of earnings.....and she said she will get payroll to send it out to me. its been about 1 or 2 weeks now and I still havent got it. I'll wait another week or 2 and then do something about it.

Just do it.. its ur right, and if she hits you or somethin
