Frankly if you have a situation at home, call 911, driving through Parking lots, nearly causing crash, he could have killed someone.

you can’t risk other peoples’ lives while there is a an Ambulance service available by calling 911…they can go on red light, they can take you directly into the emergency ward, they even have paramedics to take care of you while in transit.
it’s stupid to drive yourself through dense traffic. there is NO excuse whatsoever for doing that.
if ambulance service is NOT available then i can understand the need to drive a patient to the hospital by yourself…but driving safely.

I think what’s alarming is the fact that shooting someone now comes first and they ask questions later.
I think the body cameras on cops is a good idea and something that should be incorporated in the US despite protests from cops. Not only does it protect them from false accusations, but it also protects people who might be victims of unnecessary suspicion and harassment from cops on a power trip.

^ the guy had a suspended license plate and i believe also a suspended driver’s license. he ran from police for some distance, cruiser’s emergency lights were flashing, the siren was blaring…question is WHY didn’t he STOP? did he think he could just run away? it could have taken a few minutes to tell the cop that he was rushing because his daughter is having asthma attack.
the guy has to be blamed. he just can NOT use the ‘RACE card’ or police brutality…police Halwa khilaayegii to policing kaise karegii.
i lived in a town in Canada where police didn’t carry guns because bad guys were not lethal…now, they carry gun and use it to protect themselves simply because criminals are way more lethal.
i have NO sympathy for sucj criminals who break the law and run and then use ‘race’ card.

As for what this person should have done - many a father would have done the same thing. Try to get home ASAP to get an inhaler for his asthmatic daughter.

-STOP when police is following you with siren blaring and emergency lights flashing
-call 911 to get better and faster help. ambulance would have arrived within 10 minutes [far less than he would take driving himself]. ambulance is also staffed with paramedics who could have started first aid [inhaler] right after arrival at the scene.
this man broke the law and did NOT follow the commands of an officer.

It takes more than a few minutes to be stopped and explain and be allowed to go. Obviously, the guy was panicking and perhaps not thinking as clearly as you behind your computer screen.
Driving a car with suspended plates and license does not risk the lives of any one. There could be have been any number of possible scenarios why he was in that situation. It doesn’t cause a dangerous situation that should result in use of lethal force.
You don’t use lethal force on a guy just to “get him.” People don’t deserve to die for making stupid decisions.

When folks are faced with an emergency they make spot judgments. As a father this was the judgment he made.
Calling 911 and getting an ambulance can be costly even if one has insurance. The deductible can be huge. Carry on with such simplistic logic.

there was a woman in Ontario who needed formula for her baby but she had no money. she left the baby in the car and went in a superstore and tried to shoplift formula and some cosmetics. she was caught. she was taken to jail…she was later convicted.
she was a desperate mother but she could NOT justify stealing. there are organizations and churches which could have helped her but she chose to steal.
this man’s daughter was sick, he could have called ambulance and i am sure no matter what hospital, medicare, medicaid or department of welfare would have paid the bill on his and his daughter’s behalf. his action was unnecessary.
it’s CRIME to drive without license or plates and it’s police’s job to apprehend such criuminals.

you may wanna worship this type of guys then go ahead…to me, he ran from police…and the police is entitled to take whatever action they might deem necessary to stop this menace off the road in order to save his life and the lives of other road users. vehicle is a ‘weapon’ in itself if you may wanna believe.

I guess according OP whenever there is encounter between black suspect and police its b/c of race except that is not true b/c in both incidents suspects failed to obey lawful order from law enforcement officials. When suspect is fleeing from police, police is justified in believing that suspect could be a dangerous. What does that has to do with race? I’m sure police would have done same if the suspect was hispanic, asian or a white person. Rule of thumb when dealing with police don’t try be a smart @$$.
