Now this is a Race Riot that did not involve white people, it was a riot between blacks and hispanics.
There seems to be a deep hate between blacks and hispanics in USA. As the hispanic population grows, i predict that a lot more of these riots will happen.

I think if you have smaller communities then they assimilate and eventually get absorbed into the general population. But with larger groups the assimilation takes longer and tolerance is also more limited.

dont hear much of race riots between chinese and desi students at MIT or Noethwestern or U of chicago, or Harvard
you had gangs duking it out in LA ghettos for decades, now a newer dimension has been introduced due to race based gangs.
