Hi girls..not sure if u all remember i went to pak in feb to get married.
Im so sorry i hav only just had the chance to get back online!
I thought id share some thoughts with you about where i got ready from and the clothes etc!..My photos are all on facebook and also if you google “Rabia Gill” you can see a photo of me..the black and white one!
I bought one of my dresses from Sayonee Boutique and also one from Al Jadeed they are right next to each other..they cost 38,000 ruppees each which was amazing as it meant i got both for under £1000..The bridal one was gorgeous it was red and gold with a hign of green..it ws a fishcut style with a flary kind of skirt it ws gorgeous…and the walima one was tea pink and feroze but itw s a light blue but it ws still bright with diamante style work all over- I picked these outfits in 1 day!..Both shops are in Bano Bazaar..raja rani is also round hte corner.
I got ready from Sola Singhar and I loved it..i got ready from ther for mehndi, barat and walima..My only advice is make sure u get ur whoel photshoot from them too its well worth it.
..they cut my hair too and it looked amazing..the girls are lovely and madam tehmina who does hte make up is really nice too..They used Mac make up..my eyes were the best feature.
However the make didnt really last all night..but my cousin got ready from Moon Beautix for her wedding..i went with her and the staff were rubbish v stuck up- I ended up havn a argument with them because they wer so rude..bUT THERE MAKE up was more traditional looking if u prefer that and it did last all night.
3)_ I hired my jewellery from sola singhar i think for about 6000 ruppees as a last minute thing as didnt like the jewellery from FSD Bazaar.
The venue was Usmania for the barat..it ws lovely and they also arranged the music too..the venue ws perfect as the my parlour ws next door..but that particular branch of sola singhar has now closed and there is only the branch in D GROUND.
Food at usmania was delicious..Alothough i went to serena a little while after my wedding for dinner and the VENUE IS BEAUTIFUL I wish somebody had told me jusat how gorgeous it was!..But it ws a little more expensive and the food wsnt v nice.
I had my photos and film done by a photographer based in FSD hes brilliant and if anybody wnts details he is very reasonable in terms of cost..and v accommodating..he has been filming weddings and taking photos for our family for the last 10 yrs!
My sisters bought their clothes from bano market the best place with latest fashion is probs Al habib..their clothes r beautiful.
Nywayz think thats it..Im back in england now and enjoying married life
My one regret ws not wearing a nose thing that connected to my ear..lol
Also the shops in d ground are a rip off and are not great for shoppin..stick to anarkali and bano market..but if u wnt ready made and arent worried about cost then go to d ground..but an outfit that costs 4000 rupees in d ground costs 2500 in anarkali.
