beginning each autumn, outside of my house, alot of squirrels come to eat whatever is in our side & front lawn.
this Fall, a rabbit couple has started coming in & actually have been literally holding ‘talks’ with other naimals, the squirrels & even little sparrows, that come to feed on what i put out for them, old bread or cookies or rice or nuts.
yes, there is fight ver food as well, but rather very civil.
so naturally, it is a very absordbing naturalistic study.
any one else knows interesting facts about rabbits?
My friend once worked in a hotel near Manchester airport, he says PIA crew would stay over sometimes and at meal time they would enquire about the pork “is that Halaal?”, he says we had no idea what the hell 'alal was at the time so we’d just nod thinking it was Pakistanian for pork and we’d say “oh yes, it is, it’s that” so they’d all tuck in and eat to their hearts content, he says it’s only later we found out Muslims had dietary laws, lol lol it always puts me in stitches.
Rabbit, I've hunted and then eaten rabbit in Pakistan, it's scrumptious when it's roasted with plenty of chilli and then served on a bed of peach and walnut salad with a fluffy nan.
I had a albino giant flop-eared pet rabbit here as well but she must have been feeling a bit ;) so she mated with a wild rabbit and the vet said it caught mistermctoasties (or something) of him so she had to be put down, she was daddys princess, she'd jump on the couch and sit on my lap, we litter trained her, she were more like a cat or a dog than a rabbit.
