Rabbi-Ul-Awwal...

The month of Prophet’s (:saw2:) Birth is starting from 4th of Feb if i am not wrong (please correct me if i am)…I just wanted to know that apart from Durood-e-Ibrahimi…which other durood should be recited the most? I got to know about this durood known as durood-e-hajat or something like that and it goes like this: Qallat Hilati Anta Wasilati Adrikni Ya Rasoolallah Sallalahu Ta’ala Alayhe Wa Aalihe Wa Sallam…can this be recited as well? **

Re: Rabbi-Ul-Awwal...

The month of Rabi-ul-Awal has been started and this month is very valuable for Ummah since in this month a person come to earth for whom the world is created and who changed the destiny of the darken world into the brighten one.I want to share here some of the limitless benefits of reciting Darood Shareef.

Allah Ta'ala commands in The Quraan Shareef

O people who have accepted Iman! Recite Durood on Rasullah (Surah Ahzaab)

O People of Imaan send Salaat (Durood) and Salaam (Salutation) in abundance on him (Rasoolulah)

Rasulullah (SAW) also quoted the blessings of reciting Darood Shareef

Recite Durood on me in abundance for it is a purifier for you (Abu Ya'la Musali).

When I am mentioned in the presence of someone, he should recite Durood on me. (Nisai, Tibrani, Abu Ya'la, Ahmad)

Allah bestows ten measures of mercy to the one who recites Durood on me; ten of his sins are forgiven; he is elevated ten ranks and ten virteous deeds are written in his Book of Deeds (Nasai and Tibrani)

Send Durood upon me(PBUH) abundantly because in the beginning you will be questioned in the grave about me(PBUH)

Your Durood will be the cause of light at the Bridge of Siraat (on the Day of Judgement), he should send Durood on me abundantly.

Three categories of people will be be under the shadow of the Sublime Throne on the Day of Judgement when there will be no shadow besides it:

(i) The person who removed a misery of a person

(ii) The person who revived one of my Sunnah (way) and

(iii) the person who sent Durood on me Abundantly.

A great miser is he in whose presence I(PBUH) am mentioned and he refrains from reciting Durood on me. (Tirmidhi, Ibni Hibban, Mustadrak)

Tibraani narrates that Rasulullah said :

"My Shafaa'at (intercession) will be for him who recites daily ten times Durood on me during the morning and ten times during the evening."

Hazrat Umar Farooq (R.A.) said:

"Duas remain suspended between the heaven and the earth. It does not proceed upward as long as Durood on Nabi has not been recited"

According to the Quraan Majeed even Allah Ta'ala and his Angels engage in Salaat (Durood) on Nabi(Sallah-Hoo-Allihi-Wassalam).So importance of Darood Shareef is unquestionable. In respect of the month and holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (Sallah-Hoo-Allihi-Wassalam) recite Darood Shareef as much as possible.

Thanks for this wonderful information. I also recite durood during and after namaz, and before and after any dua. I usually recite the small version “Allahumma salle ala Mohammed wa aal e Mohammed”

For your kind information, the ayat which u have mentioned is NOT a darood sharif but a prayer and the translation goes like this ...

Mere sab waseelay khatam hogaye hain mere leye aap waseela ban jayeye Ya Rasool Allah (salallaho Alehe Walaie Wassalam) aur yeh dua museebat aur pareshani mein parhi ja sakti hai !

Re: Rabbi-Ul-Awwal...

i think afzal darud is darud e ibrahimi so we should recite it... other darud also have virtues too but it has a great importance beside any darud..
