r.i.p lt col haroon islam

what a waste of such a nobel life.

http://www.paklinks.com/gs/pakistan-affairs/258249-lt-colonel-haroon-al-islam-martyred-lal-masjid-goondas.html

when lt col haroon islam gave his life during the siege of lal masjid, i wrote that poor man had chosen the wrong course of action. i wrote that as a nation we were not worthy of his sacrifice. instead if i had been in his position, i would have taken money from people inside lal masjid in return for allowing them to roam about free.

supreme court has proven me right. apparently in the eyes of our esteemed judges it is not a crime to kidnap people, kill policeman, set fire to public bldgs and launch full scale baghawuth against govt. we cant even pretend there is no evidence against mulana burqa cause every episode of lal masjid has been caught on tape.

incidently same supreme court also granted bail to his wife who now runs about recruiting sunni suicide bombers in southern punjab. soon her husband will join her in her noble deed thanks to the supreme court judges who are supported in their endeavors by the awam of pakistan.

waisay i hope i am not being too hard of the judges. its possible that bail has been granted as a result of threat to the judges by jihadis. otoh these judges were supported by right wing wackjobs like hameed gul and imran khan. so these judges might be paying their backers in kind by releasing a saathi of their main supporters. anyway whichever way we look ultimate losers are the people of pak. people recruited by the likes of maulana aziz will kill innocent pakistanis. unfortunately we wont have anyone else to blame for their deeds other than ourselves. what we do to ourselves is much much worse than anything accomplished by our enemies.

Lets go all the way back to 1947, people shouldn't have sacrificed to have a separate country to begin with... what do you think?
