1} how many hajj’s did hazrat mohammed-e-mustapha :saw: do in their life time?
- how much revenue should 1 have b/f being considered liable to give qurbani and is qurbani farz only once in lifetime or every year?

1} Hazrat mohammad :saw: performed only one hajj in his life.
2} Qurbani (as on Eid-ul-Azha) is not farz. It is Sunnat-Ibrahimi, followed by Prophet Muhammad :saw: ,So it is Sunnat for Muslims to follow. If you have means to offer Qurbani then do it.
2b} For Hujaj-kiraam Qurbani is part of manasik-e-haj, so they must offer.

I may be wrong.. but I always assumed that qurbani is for those who are sahib-e-ista'taat (those with the resources) and that means those who are supposed to pay zakaat.

Exactly what I know too... and that makes Qurbani Fardh on those who can afford...

Zakat is farz, Qurbani is not. For Zakat there is definate criteria and obligation for a person to pay every year he/she falls in that criteria.
For example: If a person has enough money to offer qurbani, but he has not payed his/her zakat for that year(or some previous years), then he/she must pay zakat first , then offer qurbani.(In case of loan or special cases, one should consult an Aalim)
People usually ignore zakat and think that Qurbani is more important, which is totally wrong.
ps. Zakat and Qurbani are not related to each other, just one is more important then other
