Thats an interesting point. I guess we can say that from the Quran we have the same knowledge we have about the other prophets from the Quran. Generally we know that he received the Quran as a revelation, he was mocked and rejected by his people in Mecca, he was then persecuted and then sent(forced) into exile. We know the Meccans disputed the oneness of God and disputed the day of resurrection and they saw this as a heretical belief thats against their religious heritage. They also believed the prophet "made up" the Quran either by himself or with an aide and that he filled up the Quran with some ancient myths and fairy tales. We know then he migrated and went to a town called Yathrib where he was supported by members of the community there although not all of them. We know then battles were initiated by the Meccans against him, the prophet won some and lost some and finally entered Mecca victorious and the people of Mecca and the surrounding communities entered the religion of Islam and paganism eroded from the Arabian peninsula. Its a very unique prophetic biography in terms of its impact and thats mainly because pf the support he seemed to have received in Yathrib which is somewhat unique for a prophetic biography. We know the Quran was completed upon his death and a nation similar to Moses and Jesus was appointed to him. We have with us the converstaion and revelation he received from God which shows all what God wanted mankind to know and also the major communications God had with the prophet.
A very unique and incredible story and a stroy of triumph against odds and a return as a victor. Its also unique in terms the Quran itself is a unique literature and a very transparent literatur clearly outling to us all the converstation it had with his prophet. Finally we know from the Quran this converstaions and revelations only ocurred between the prophet and God via the angel Gabriel and ended with the prophet's death.
As far as what the Quran says, thats a much bigger subject but generally it starts with the story of Adam and Eve and the sending of the prophets and the battle between faith and disbelief between the prophets and their followers and the disbelievers. We know the Quran talked about the end the world and promised the hold the disbelievers to account and that they will be punished severely with fire and torment and the believers who had faith and did the rightoeus deeds ordered to them will go to paradise where there will be great reward. The Quran talks about the end of the world and tells us all the prophet were sent by God to warn mankind from this day when all of mankind will be resurrected and stand in front of their Lord and be judged for their deeds they performed in Earth.
The Quran came as a continuation of this battle between faith and disbelief and came to support and guide the believers and was sent as a mercy for them and for the disbelievers it came as a further warning of a day when they shall face their Lord. The Quran informs us that satan will try to persuade us into an evil path, a path to self destruction and hell while the angels will record our deeds and that the scriptures are a book of Guidance. The Quran finally says its came as a further confirmation of the previous scriptures and the stories of the prophets sent to mankind as a warning, guidance and mercy.
Thats basically a very general outline of the Quran and the major stages of the biography of its prophet.
Knowing about Prophet pbuh through history (sunna, stories, oral traditions etc.) ==== GOOD
Making Prophet pbuh as the right hand of Allah ==== BAD.
Many Muslims fail to understand that -----
Christians made a HUGE mistake when they ignored Injeel and instead made Jesus AH as the right hand of GOD (ie. son of God).
Many Muslims repeated the same mistake and turned Islam into Mohammed-ism (or some call Mohammadans).
FYI. Allah's message is divine, and timeless, and it doesn't depend on Mohammed pbuh, Or Jesus AH, or Moses AH. Why?
If Allah had willed, he would have sent someone else in place of Mohammed pbuh.
Thus Sunnah should have never been LUMPED with Quran (like Christians lumped Jesus with Injeel).
Precisely why, Mohammed pbuh never asked to document Sunnah, while He pbuh made sure that sahaba rah document/hifz/remember Quran and every verse of it.
Relying on things documented 100s of years after Mohammed pbuh and LUMPING all that with Quran has resulted in corrupting Islam just like the corruption of divine message by other religions like Christianity.

how do u know that ? from hadith and history
yet you choose to ignore that prophet said that he is leaving behind 2 things "Quran AND sunnah for guidence "

no one ever did that, muslims have ALWAYS kept Quran and sunnah seperate

Bigmo,
in other words a very sketchy biography , you would agree.
Bigmo,
in other words a very sketchy biography , you would agree.
Its the same as the others prophets mentioned in the Quran, wouldn't you agree?
I am not sure what you mean by sketchy.
Don’t try to be Einstein to figure out such a simple thing.
Quran was documented on tree bark, paper, and cloth, etc. DURING the time Mohammad pbuh, documented formally as one single book from the last days of Mohammad pbuh in different scripts. Usman rah then standardized one particular version of the script, made copies and distributed through out the territories.
Almost every major collection of Hadis on the other hand was compiled 100s of years later.
Only then people realized that some hadis were very weak, some were so so, and only 40 were absolutely certain (Sihahe sitta) being agreed upon ALL of the editors like Bukhari, Muslim, Dawood , Tirmazi etc. etc.
This is where Islam changed into a form similar to Christianity, and Muslims got the same Pope-ism disease. Where Mohammad pbuh was elevated from being an ordinary mortal to something like right hand of Allah. Just like Christians, we too changed our prophet to a superhuman (son of God, right hand of God, Divine being etc. etc.). And just like Christians, we too made sure that Mullahs become the sole arbiters of religion and worldly life.
The rest as they say is history.

show me a Quran that can be dated accurately to the time of the Prophet ?
and who told you that Quran was compiled and standarized in such a way ?
history and hadith
Oh and before we forget,
Allah promised to protect Quran --
We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption) (Al-Hijr 15: 9) - translation by yousuf ali.
Now tell us where Allah has promised to protect all the Hadis books.

Who disputes that ...but how was it protected , you mentioned it yourself but when i pointed out that the proof of this comes from hadith and history you ignored it

Which scholar ever claimed that all hadith books are protected ?

Re: "Quranists" What do you know about the Prophet (saw) 's biography from Quran alon
For the record, I am not a Quranist.
Quranists reject one of GOD's great miracles, the math miracle which GOD informs us in Sura 74:30-35. Quranists accept some verses and reject some. The follow a path in between. If the truly believed the entire Quran, the would have no difficulty accepting GOD's proof in the Quran.
So, for the record..I am not a Quranist, I am a Submitter. There is a difference.

I know what I need to know…That Prophet Muhammad was forbidden from teaching any other teachings other than the Quran alone. His biography (hadith & Sunnah) came AFTER he died. Thus, it is NOT from Muhammad. However, the Quran is 100% from Muhammad’s mouth, why don’t you follow that?!
Here is a wonderful video showing the history of hadith after Muhammad died.
Here is another video about your ‘authentic’ Sahih Hadithss and the blasphemies there.
I’m sure you will find an argument to support such nonsense.

Mohammed pbuh had many aspects in his life.
However the religious aspect that really counts today can easily be extracted from Quran.
The other aspects of His pbuh life, that reflect His time, and therefore not important religiously are not mentioned in Quran.
I hope you see the fine line.
Remember Christians make the same mistake when they try to copy everything by saying "What would Jesus AH do?" and promptly ignore Injeel. This is precisely what religious corruption is. When religion becomes the embodiment of a human being and not Allah himself.
The same thing happened to Muslims. They became Mohammadens in their effort to copy everything from Mohammed pbuh life.
That was never intended. We were supposed to follow Allah and Quran, and treat Mohammed pbuh as a human being instead of making him right hand of Allah.
Allah says "your own actions (Aamal) will save you on Qiamat."
Christians say Jesus will save them on the day of judgement because .....
Muslims commit the same mistake when they say Mohammed will save them on Qiyamat while sitting on the right hand side of Allah.
What a corruption !
And you know how it started?
When just like you, people started asking the exact same question 100's of years after Mohammed's pbuh death.
So yes the important aspects of Mohammed pbuh's life can be learnt from Quran.
However if you want to have fun with stories like Alf Lailah, then off course check out all the dramas.

dont give me these arguments of a charlatan
There is a huge amount of literature on the position of Prophet Muhammad in islam and the majority consensus is that he was a man , a messanger, the best of the prophets and he did not have ilm-e-ghaib of everything like God but he was given special insight by blessing of God which enabled him to make predictions about the future which are well recorded in hadith. These are the miracles and proof of his prophethood.

okay so muslims after pious caliphate came to be called sunnis ! these were enmies of prophet ! what about those who were not enemies of prophet what were they called ?
and if hadith were all fabricated to suit the kings after caliphs why isnt a single authentic hadith in praise of these kings ?
why is a huge abundance of hadith in praise of prophets family
why dont sunnis aee these kings as legal authority and call them maliks or tyrants
why is the seerah and rijal full of conflict between companions and tabeen ? if hadith was just a white wash
so if abu huraira fabricated hadith for ummayyads we can also infer that he fabricated this traditions that "my God dont let me like live long enough to see 60AH " ( yr when yazid came to power, abu huraira died in 59 AH) or "if i tell you hadth of prophet my head will be severed " or tradition of ghadir which is a huge merit of ummayyads grts enemy Ali
read khilafat-o-malookiat by maulana maududi if nothing else to understand how tyrants came to power in islam , it has nothing to do with rise of hadith literature.
whoever made this video is blissfully ignorant of the complicated early islamic history and rise of historirical writings so dont waste everybodies time if thats the best you can come up with

Can you please just state a couple of so called FALSE teachings by our Prophet Muhammad )P.B.U.H)… from ALL his time span… which have gone against the teachings of Quran-Majeed?
And You know what is nonsense !!!
The above mentioned videos.
You come here and post a couple of vids… which have no base whatsoever… made by God knows who… and serve God knows what purpose. And u claim them to be a support in ur so called argument…!!!
Absurd… really.
Re: "Quranists" What do you know about the Prophet (saw) 's biography from Quran alon
^ there are tons of fabricated hadith lets not kid ourselves but that does not prove that ALL hadith are fabricated. Infact thats why hadith scholars developed the whole concept of grading hadith to root out the bad ones,

yes brov, there might be... that's why we have AUTHENTIC ones to lay eyes on isn't it?
I just have difficulty understanding how can they just eliminate those AUTHENTIC AHADEES and especially our Prophet's Sunnah from it all... ???
