I remember that the translation I read of the ayat in Surah bakra had mafhoom “aurat tumhari khaiti jaisi hain in mai seedhay rastay say jao” .. While reading Sura baqra translation from some book I cam accross the following text
They ask thee concerning women’s courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution: So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by God. For God loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean..
Now i am being confused. To simplify the question, I want to ask if someone can give me quranic versus which are clearly against sodomy.
Secondly, Is there any ayat which has mafhoom which is similar to what i wrote above (aurat tumhari khaiti jaisi hai … ) ?
"We also sent Lut : He said to his people : "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you? For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds." Qur'an 7:80-81
Allah Most High says: "Do you approach the males of humanity, leaving the wives that Allah has created for you? But you are a people who transgress" Qur'an (26:165-66)
"Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" Qur'an (26:165-166)
I was reading on this topic recently.... on many web portals.... some of the verses i came across are posted here inshallah will post article also related to it !

all of these verses are related to gays - not the sodomy! ..
sodomy could be possible in between male-female. Thats why i am looking for versus specifically against sodomy.
is there a similar verse for men? Why does the Quran communicate only to men?
"your women"
Let me tell you the answer which will make you women happy ...
A teacher usually talks directly to the student who needs more attention (the one with lower IQ), cause teacher knows that intellgent students will learn things on their own, just by listening and observing.
The verse you are looking for is the very verse you have given and the one that comes after it.
1) A menstruating wife is to be "kept away" from - this means no sexual contact at all. Verse 222
2) In any manner ... ordained by God - i.e. of the halal methods Verse 222
3) In any manner connects to the qualifier phrase when or how you will. Verse 222 states women ... Verse 223 states tilth. The context of approaching women must be with the purpose of using the 'tilth' - The back passage is not the place which is the cultivation, the place where seeds are laid and produce comes forth, it is the womb which is the place analgous to the 'tilth'. The "any manner" refers to entering of the region of the 'tilth'. This contextualises 2) as the manner "ordained by God".
Also if sodomy was allowed then it would not make sense to "keep away" from women during menstruation since this only affects the region analogous to the "tilth" and not the back passage.
Also less directly Go to Surah 29 verse 32 and 33 ... Quite loosely, although the gist is that the men would approach each other, but the ones to be saved would be Lut (AS) and his family, but not his 'wife' - so one may deduce the context is about favouring unlawful penetration above lawful penetration. Since a women was condemned with the people and all the men and women other than the family of Lut (AS) were part of that condemnation, we can't say the acts were limited between men and other men, but rather the Qur'an depicts the act without lewdness, by refering to the male on male aspect so there is no confusion about what is being done.
Okay guys, I am still looking for verses against sodomy.
The message against sodomy came very emphatically in the manner the punishment was delivered! and the fact no one was allowed to witness the punishment!
