There is Hadith of the day thread at GS. I wish to start Ayat of the day. There will be no particular order in the ayats but a short discussion of the ayat , Not a lengthy commentary. So first ayat is from Surah Baqarah , Ayat no 2.
ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِيْنَ
Translation:
- There is no doubtful content in this book, it provides guidance for those who have fear in their heart.
- There is no doubt in it that this book is guidance for fearful beings.
My discussion is based on the first translation.
No book on earth begins with this challenge that this book contains no doubt. Quran challenges the universe to find any kind of contradictions in it. Some people have written lengthy articles about contradictions in Quran but it all their jugglery with the words.
I used to have a question in my mind why this book provides guidance to the people who have fear ? The people who already fear Allah they do not need guidance , the arrogant and sinners need the guidance. I talked to some ulma’s and searched the answer. With their help and Allah’s toufeeq I found the answer.
The answer is that . Only the people who have fear , who are pious they are looking for the truth. They are looking for guidance because they have a conscience their conscience is not dead that is why they are looking to the ways they can make their creator happy by following his commands. They want to be Abdullah. ‘Allah kay banday’. The ones who are arrogant and sinners their heart is dead , their conscience is dead. They do not believe that one day they will be answerable to their actions in this world.
Allah says in Quran about these people.
صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لاَ يَرْجِعُونَ
These people are deaf , mute, blind they are not going to return to the truth.
That is why this book provides guidance to Allah fearing people. A sinner when he starts to feel the fear of Allah and repents then he becomes a ‘muttaqi’ then this book becomes his beacon of light , it provides him the guidance to the right path.
