Quranic and Hadith referenced needed

Salams people!

I need some Holy Quran and Hadith references to the following:

  1. The treatment of non combatants at a time of War in Islam.

  2. The importance of Forgiving

  3. Lastly, are the Words Dar-ulHarb or Dar ul islam used anywhere in the Holy Quran?

Thanks

Walekumsalam Zakk bhai,

Have you already tried islamicity.com

Look at the top left of the home page. You can put in key words and set the search scope to Quran or Ahadith and get the relevant ayahs and ahadith abt the topics you are interested in.. u can try different related words if that exact word does not bring up any results… something will definitely turn up…I always use this when I am writing papers etc on Islam related topics, its really useful…

good luck :):k:

its about common sense, the taking of innocent life is not allowed from any religious humane point of view.

Assalamualaikum!

I found these three verses from Quran. Will post more soon, InshAllah!

*60.8 *
"Allah does not forbid you respecting those who have not made war against you on account of (your) religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly; surely Allah loves the doers of justice."

60.9
"Allah only forbids you respecting those who made war upon you on account of (your) religion, and drove you forth from your homes and backed up (others) in your expulsion, that you make friends with them, and whoever makes friends with them, these are the unjust."

*9.6 *
"And if one of the idolaters seek protection from you, grant him protection till he hears the word of Allah, then make him attain his place of safety; this is because they are a people who do not know."

Re: Quranic and Hadith referenced needed

Abu Bakr as-Siddiq Radi Allah-O-Ta’ala Anhu, a close companion and successor of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), told one of his military commanders:

:flower1:“I advise you of ten things [relating to the rules of war.] Do not kill women or children or an aged, infirm person. Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not destroy an inhabited place. Do not slaughter [animals] except for food. Do not burn bees and do not scatter them. Do not steal from the materials captured in combat, and do not be cowardly.”:flower1:
[Al-Muwatta, Volume 21, Hadith 10]

A hadith says:

:flower1:Kullo Bani Adam al Khattaaoon; wa khair al khataaeenaa At Tawaaboon:flower1:

“All children of Adam make mistakes BUT The best among those who make mistakes are the one who seek repentance.”

Clearly, repentence is a sign of guidance from Allah- the merciful!

Another hadith that i remember but it is not the exact wording but the exact thing that is in the hadith and as far as i remember it is a Hadith-e-Qudsi:

On the day of judegement, a person will come and ALLAh will ask if there is any one whose right the person had violated. Another person will stand up and will claim for it, even though the other person had asked him to forgive him in this world but he never had forgiven him. So, Allah will become the witness for the person who violated the rights. And Allah will ask to the human being who will be claiming for the rights that look over his head. THe scence of paradise with all beautiful residential gardens and lakes will mesmorize the person. He will ask Oh ALLAh does this belong to any of your prophet.. And ALLAH will reply:
This is for those of my Ibaad (Slaves) who forgive others just for the sake of my Pleasure (razaa)

as of my knowledge, I never came across it in Quran.. Wallah-O-Alam

thanks guys! shukria
