Re: Quran Khwani
The reason why so many people are against Qur’an khani’s is first of all, and MOST important is the the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and/or his Sahabah did not do this practice.
Think about it, the most perfect person in Islam did not do this for his daughters when they passed away nor did the Sahabah do this practice when the Prophet himself passed away.
Do as much dua’a as you can for those who have deceased but do it in the proper manner. Do it in the manner that you find in the sunnah of the Prophet. Yes, it may seem “what is the harm in doing so and so, we’re getting swab from it.” But this is considered a bid’ah or innovation. Something that the Prophet did not do himself yet we have created. If it was truly good, they would have been the first to do it
How can a bid’ah be a good one when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Every bid’ah is a going astray and every going astray is in Hell-fire”.
The point is that the Qur’an was revealed to be acted upon and pondered, to be read as an act of worship and read a great deal, not to be given to the dead or to anyone else
Abd Allah ibn Umar said: "Every innovation is misguidance, even if the people see it as something good.
Again, I’ll emphasize that making dua’a is necessary. The way dua’a is made is important. Do only what the Prophet has done. How can we expect to exceed his greatfulness?
as much as you are right, its also proven that we can transfer our naik amaal to other people (sometimes through unintentional acts like doing gheebat, and sometimes through intentional acts like doing Haj-e-Badal). Transfer of amaal is valid for both dead and livings. When you read Quran, you get sawab. All you are doing is that you are asking allah to transfer that sawab to those who are gone cause they cannot do it for themselves anymore.
