I know it will get us off topic but i will like say that as farrah said Being pure could mean being pure physically or spiritually. I would like to say that from what i understand touching here doesn't mean touching literally... It means Getting it, making sense out of it , understanding it. Otherwise non muslims who dont even clean themselves after sex or urination shldnt be able to touch it.
