Quran Hafiz

I was told that Shias, although considering it authentic, do not consider the Quran complete and claim that the rest of it will be brought by the Ghayab Imam to complete it…

That is why there are no Huffaz in the Shia sect…(Huffaz = People who have memorized the Quran entirely…)

Re: Authentic Shia Book/writers

Please don't base your judgement on what you were told instead of facts. As far as huffaz are concerned again is it something you heard that there are no Huffaz in shia sect? Can you please provide some reliable proof of your statement.

Re: Authentic Shia Book/writers

I also forgot to add, that I was also told that the reason they don’t memorize the entire Quran is because of the belief that it is futile to do so since it is incomplete…

I never stated it as a matter of fact…Perhaps you can prove me wrong by naming a prominent Shia Hafiz?

Here is a link you can check it out yourself.

By the way this is not a prominent hafiz just a 5 yr old kid.

Re: Authentic Shia Book/writers

What’s the proof that this kid is a Huffaz? And if he is a huffaz because of his photographic memory, does that nullify the Shia Aqeedah of not memorising the Quran? Or the Aqeedah that it is incomplete?

I know that no Shia growup will ever claim to know the Quran by heart for that will mean that they attest to its being complete…Will you say right now that the Quran is complete as Allah :swt: meant it to be?

Write it down for me that the Quran is complete in its entirety and that no more Quran will come down from Allah :swt:…

So, to counter the claims of Sunnis, that there are no Shia Huffaz and Shia Hafiz yet denying the completeness of the Quran, they put forward these kids…I remember this 6 year old girl that was once touted as a Hafiza…

Since they are kids, no one can raise a finger and say, look, the Shias DO have Huffaz, and yet being kids absolves them of knowing that the Quran is incomplete…

It is thanks to Hz. Umer :razi: who compiled the Quran and Muslims before that who memorized it to heart, otherwise if Shiaism was true, then we wouldn’t have a Quran today…Because there would be no one to memorize it…

But, the true Muslims memorized each and every word, knowing that it was the complete message of Allah :swt: and nothing will either be added or taken out…

Can you say that the Quran is a complete book in its entirety and nothing will ever be added to what we have today?

Say it…Perhaps then I might be compelled to believe you…

Re: Authentic Shia Book/writers

I have met the kid when he came down to our Islamic centre, and yes he is more than a hafiz who just repeats the Quran by parrot fashion. He understands it, and if you ask him a question related to the current affairs, he will reply with befitting ayahs from the Quran. He uses Quranic ayahs when he talks in everyday life. Not something your average 6 year old can do. He is a walking, talking Quran. Mashallah.

Both his parents are hafiz. His parents and teacher taught him the Quran in the form of sign languge around the age of two. Each word was assigned with a hand sign, and when the father shows the sign, the kid reads not only the ayah his father is indicating, but can tell you the sepecific verse and page it is on.

We had both sunni and shia audience at the centre, and it was amazing what the talent of a 6 year old did for the change of attitude between shias and sunnis. He has PHD from a british university, and his now giving lectures to adult audiences in his sweet little kiddies voice. They have also made a madrassah now where many kids are learning the Quran through sign language.

Hence, Tabatabai is not just some hafiz mate. he is a bleedin miracle.

how pathetic and sad. I suggest you get out more and meet shias in real life. Perhaps then you wouldnt have such an ajeeb o ghareeb mentality.

Re: Quran Hafiz

^ Kumayl ibn Ziyad (R.A) a prominant shia Tabaeen and disciple of Ali(as) led several hundred shia Quran recieters( Hafiz and schholars) in battle against Hajjaj ibn yusuf. They were known as the "battalion of Quran recieters" and some martyred in battle against Hajjaj
kumayl was captured and asked to dissociate himself and curse Ali(as) he refused and was put to death
