i just wanted to clarify personally this misunderstanding the quran only has references to nomadic desert tribe lifestyles.
The reasons ppl around the world, not only muslims, agree to the literary greatness of the quran is because of, not only the poetry, but the general social justice and scientific accuracy of the quran. Being a book from 1400 AD, its stating scientific facts matched today; embryo developement, study of the atmosphere coloumnibous clouds, black holes having the heaviest gravitational pull, aquatic life is teh source to all life on earth, etc. along with these facts there is also a social justice system which applies to every individual arab and non arab alike. no culture. culture is a manmade creation. 4 wives is a welfare system to prevent prostitition and generate a shelter division during war times when men are less in numbers and woman/mothers and childeren are more. Will division has nothing to do with the arab tribes..infact they did not have legal wills before islam. Time keeping was taught and later spread at the time of dark ages to the rest of the civilized world. I mean there was no specific to nomadic tribe needs..its all about individuals, black or white, male or female, rich or poor, it works for everyone thats the reason its respected as a literary greatness, again by not only muslims but in the educated world.
There is much history in Islam and its contributions to teh world, but the Quran is not a mere miracle but has become a phenomenon.
