Quran Android is a free app. Its very ligible (especially on larger tablets) and has streaming audio that gets downloaded and played with minimum of effort. Its bookmarking features are very convenient.
I think they are working on the iOS app but not 100% sure. Here’s the company website:

Another really good one I downloaded is "Electronic Tasbeeh"
I know it might be silly, but I don't carry a tasbeeh around with me. So instead of counting on my hands/ fingers, this app is really cute and easy. It keeps count and you can change the settings so it vibrates and reminds you every time you've done 10, 33, 100, or 1000.
There is another app that is for iphone and android devices called Athan (from islamic finder) I find it to be the most accurate app for users in US. I have not tried it in any other country. Also, most of the Pakistani televisions are following the times on the athan app for the PC for sehri and aftar.
99 Names of Allah: Has all the 99 names in English/Arabic and Recording, the meaning and description of each name
Islamic Moral Stories
Islamic Stories for Muslims and Non Muslims
MP3 Quran
Muslim Pro: Athan/ Alarm for prayer timings
Quran Android (post 1)
Tasbeeh: you can choose which tasbeeh you want to read, e.g. tasbeeh-e-Fatima, etc, and there's an actual tasbeeh on your screen and actual beads are your counter.
Muslim Kids Series: Dua, a collection of duas with audio recitation and pictures

I have that on my laptop. Have been using it for many years. I didn't know there was an app for it as well. Will check it out.
iQuran - My preferred Quran app, it has complete english translations and you can download and save the complete audio, its free, and there is a pro version as well.
My Prayer - My preferred prayer time app. its a free app with Prayer Alarm, Notifications, Widgets, Qibla Compass etc. The widgets are beautiful and very use full.
For my kids, on their Nexus7, I also have
- Muslim Kids Series: Wudhu
- Zain Al Islam: Zain is a 3D character that shows you how to do wudhu and salah in a fun way that kids enjoy and learn from.

I just tried it and uninstalled it. Very limited options to customize. I am not about to start doing iftaar 15 minutes earlier :)
^I m not sure about their android app and if its different than the apple one. I know their PC app is one of the best ones and I have been using it for the past 8-9 years. Not sure which kind of customization were you looking for.
Muslim Pro: great app MashaAllah - premium version highly recommended… you can install it across your various android platforms as long as you’re using the same Google Play account.
Dua & Azkar: extremely useful if you can’t remember the suggested duas or dhikr for different occassions. It also provides transliteration/translation/audio for every supplication.
iAzkar: this was one of the first apps I had on my iPhone… it’s very good but may be a little hard to read since it’s geared to native Arabic speakers and there is no tashkeel (diacritics) provided.
There is another app called Zabihah which has halal restaurants, markets and masjids in the area. Pretty good app which is derived from their website. I can always get halal restaurants for the area that I m in with reviews most of the time.
Never Miss Fajr: An awesome app! Here’s the description:
The problem it tries to solve is this: you have every intention of waking up for fajr, but you turn off your alarm mistakenly while half asleep. Next thing you know, the sun is out… Sound familiar?
The idea behind the app is simple: to wake you up for Fajr by being as annoying as possible!
It’s just like a regular adhan alarm clock with one big exception:It annoys you until you actually wake up by asking you to do something before the adhan shuts off! Until you do what it asks, the adhan will keep on playing in a loop AND your phone will vibrate incessantly!
There are two “triggers” to choose from to wake yourself up.
Trivia: if you choose this option you will have to answer 5 islam-related questions correctly before the adhan shuts off.
Shake to wake: if you choose this option you will have to shake your phone 20 times before the adhan shuts off. *
