Does anyone know of a good quote (either Hadith or Quran) that can be used in an Aqiqah invitation?
Also, does anyone know what the most accurate English spelling of “Aqiqah” is?

Re: Quote about Children (for Aqiqah invitation)
Better you don't quote either of that as invitees will not keep their invitation forever. In Islamic terminology, is defined as sacrifice of an animal on the occasion of a child's birth, so according to this terminology you can design your invitation card. or write 'On the ocassion of new born baby, your are invited to attend a Aqiqah ceremony....'.
Re: Quote about Children (for Aqiqah invitation)
I have other stuff I want to write on the card I just also wanted to include a quote from the Quran or some Hadith regarding the responsibility of having children or something. And as for the issue of whether or not people will keep the invitation, that's up to them and my intentions of wanting to include a quote are to have people read a direct quote that they otherwise may not have come across.
Re: Quote about Children (for Aqiqah invitation)
Peace sajni,
There are many hadith but here i'll quote two:
Book 'Sacrifice on Occasion of Birth (`Aqiqa)' of Sahih Bukhari Hadith No. 380
Narrated Salman bin 'Amir Ad-Dabbi: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "'Aqiqa is to be offered for a (newly born) boy, so slaughter (an animal) for him, and relieve him of his suffering." (Note: It has been quoted in Fateh-AL-Bari that the majority of the Religious Scholars agrees to the Hadith narrated in Sahih At-TlRMlZY that the Prophet was asked about Aqiqa and he ordered 2 sheep for a boy and one sheep for a girl and that is his tradition "SUNNA".)
Book 'Sacrifice (Kitab Al-Dahaya)' of Sunan Abu-Dawud Hadith No. 2832
Narrated Samurah ibn Jundub: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: A boy is in pledge for his Aqiqah, Sacrifice is made for him on the seventh day, his head is shaved and he is given name.
