it happens in every industry and happens more in some industries than others, why dont software sales guys have the rep as used car sales.
when there is that much negative, corrective action must be taken.
also, when there is that much negative, it is a great opportunity for people to differentiate themselves. so yes if these amway guys approach people in a responsible manner, provide more facts and not add glitter to it, it would be better for the image of thee networks. so for any generic amway sales guy the advise would be that there is a lot of negative perception because of actions of your peers, and you can distance yourself from it if you approach people properly and present the business proposition properly.
used car dealers and salesmen had a bad name due to their tactics, carmax happened out of the blue.
