Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
my friend used it and she is pretty much satisfied I so wanted to buy this but huby liked something else ![]()
Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
the quinny buzz is heavy and big- a friend of mine has it and she’s not happy- but thats her. its a pretty popular stroller around town.
but the basket is horrible- its so tiny. what can you fit in there?
britchick has the quinny moodd - not sure if she’s used it much though or her review of it.
Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
Thanks for the feedback guys! SGC why didnt your friend like it, was it just because of the weight and basket or any other reasons? I also thought it was heavy when I first tried to lift it in the store. But the salesperson was like they are all heavy and so then I tried lifting some of the others to compare, and they were quite similar. I dont mind that really, since I wont be carrying up and down stairs or anything serious like that, just mostly lifting into the trunk and out, which is very manageable. I also thought maybe the weight would make it difficult to maneuver, but when I tested it in the store I found it very easy and smooth to drive, good handling. So that seems good to me. I also loved how easy and simple it is to unfold. Yes it would be helpful if the basket was bigger, though it is at least bigger than it appears in the picture. But Im not so extremely bothered by that, because I thought I can just compensate for the limited storage space by adding a stroller hook?. Mostly I want to hear how it was in terms of quality, the comfort etc
SGC which stroller did you end up going for again, I remember you did a lot of research for yours
Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
Well I used it for my friend honestly didn’t find it heavy but actually we were joking tht it feels like you are driving automatic car with others you feel you are manual driving, as far as basket is concerned, my stroller has a big one but I don’t think you need tht big basket you can either place bag inside basket which fit easily in the basket or just put it on stroller or if you need you can stroller hooks attached to it.
quality is great as afar as I know my friend used it for her first two babies n now third one using still looks new n it travelled so much from pyramids of Egypt to madina Makkah to Pakistan to US n now using it in Dubai, the maxi cozi seat is comfortable,if you have checked Quiny comes in zap model also tht is not comfortable but buzz seat Is very comfortable.
Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
i don’t think there are any issues with it quality-wise. as you noted, it’s well made with a smooth push. my friend lives downtown and doesn’t drive, and has a flight of stairs to carry it down so that she finds quite a pain. its also too wide for the bus and the streetcar but if you’re not planning on taking public transportation, this shouldn’t matter. as far as the weight is concerned, there are lighter weight full size strollers like the bugaboo chameleon, the mamas and papas sola (mine), the britax b-agile (also mine), the mutsy transporter and mutsy evo, the uppababy cruz etc. these are around 17-24 lbs.
and then there are the heavier class of full size strollers like the uppababy vista (THE most popular stroller here and has a great basket), the quinny buzz, the mutsy 4-rider, the britax b-ready, the peg perego skate etc. these are all upwards of 25lb, usually 25-31lbs. the iCandy line of strollers is also very nice from what i’ve heard. they’re not widely available here so i haven’t test driven one.
check out the baby gizmo video review of the strollers you are interested in. they’re on youtube and a fantastic resource. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njDUU3Rvnmw
the reason for the basket being a good size is this: you end up using your stroller really as a workhorse when you’re out and about. everything goes in the basket- shopping, purse, diaper bag, jackets, baby blankets, toys, etc. or at least i did/do. if the basket is too small, its one of those annoyances that you wish you had thought about beforehand. i do have stroller hooks and a stroller caddy for both of mine but nothing beats the basket space, imho.
having said that, if you feel you won’t be using it as much, and that lifting it in and out of the trunk won’t be an issue for you, then definitely go ahead with the buzz. the fold/unfold is another super important thing and since you love the one on the buzz, that’s another bonus point for it. it’s what i love most about my britax b-agile even though its basket is stupid, but that one makes a great, well built, full size alternative to the typical, piddly umbrella stroller types when you’re travelling.
Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
oh! and one-handed push. you wouldn’t believe how often you end up pushing your stroller with one hand. the sola steers like a dream one-handed, the britax i have, not so much. i don’t know if its 4-wheel vs. 3-wheel kind of thing or what but i know if i’m going to be out having a busy day, i always opt for the sola because i can push it so easily. its also compact for a full-size so i have no problems taking it on the bus or streetcar which i do frequently.
some more reviews off amazon- i always check there for everything because people are pretty brutally honest about what they’ve purchased and it seems like people love it. i say go for it! what colour were you thinking? Amazon.com

Maxi Cosi Mura 4 - Celebrities who wear, use, or own Maxi Cosi Mura 4 / Coolspotters
Tis is the one i have with the car seat attatchment and stroller attatchment aswell as the buggy.
I LOVE it… Easy to steer with one hand… Very safe and secure… Its the same system as the 3 wheeler…
i will say one thing…its heavy…and takes up a lot of space. I dont mind it cuz we dont use this for trips to the mall etc…have a light weight stroller for that… This i use for when i run errands on foot or for putting the baby outside to sleep (dont go hawww… I live in denmark ) ![]()

Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
^ thats a gorgeous blue!
Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
so i got to see the buzz in action up-close yesterday when i went out with the friend who owns it. i gotta say, the rear wheels on it are amazing. while i had to lift my stroller down the stairs, she was able to just bounce/walk it down stairs on the two rear wheels! and the shocks were great- her 3 month old didn’t even stir while she went down multiple flights of stairs.
Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
Yes the back wheels and rear suspension are great!
Thanks for sharing your feedback guys. We are planning to get the one in black

Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
are you getting the three or four wheeler? yay! i love stroller shopping!
Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
The 3. It says it comes in 3 wheels or 4 but I thought Buzz 3 and 4 were both 4 wheelers, just in the B4 the front wheels are more spaced and in B3 they are close together? Maybe because they move as one they call it a 3-wheeler

Re: Quinny Buzz and Maxi Cosi
when the wheels are together like in the image on the right, its considered one wheel so thats a 3-wheeler.
and you’re right, its because the one on the left has two independent wheels separated by the bar that makes it a four-wheeler.
did you push the four wheeler and the two? i find three-wheelers are sometimes harder to steer than four-wheelers.
the one other thing i would say is check how far the sunshade comes out and if an extension is available for it. in that respect, the uppababy is fantastic because its got a big sunshade + an extension built into it for even more coverage.
