Re: Quick Question

What is the book 'Moth Smoke' about???

Re: Quick Question

  1. is a classic

Re: Quick Question

kite runner is beautiful but thoroughly depressing, not a lite vacation read :bummer: i was crying while reading it on the plane.

Re: Quick Question

the alchemist.
and the second title (a thousand splendid suns), by the kite runner's author.

Re: Quick Question

Definitely #1. KR is a good read but not terribly complex or insightful. I haven't read the others yet.

Re: Quick Question

am I the only one who's not read the alchemist as yet?

Re: Quick Question

shoor : i have not read that too

Re: Quick Question

Kite Runner was very good, and definitely worth reading. Anna Karenina, though classic, is very, very drawn out and in the end depressing, and definitely not something you want to read at the beach. Alchemist was good, and an easy beach read, and can be finished in 2 hours at the beach too. Haven't read his other one... let us know how it is if you try it. Not familiar with the 5th. Gate of the Sun, by Elias Khoury, is also an excellent read.
