Quick question about bottle feeds frequency/co sleeping for first weeks?

Hey guys;

we were blessed with a baby girl two weeks ago. Excited, happy, exhausted covers the emotions at the minute.
We had a rocky birth (inducing didn’t work and I ended up with my second emergency section).

Little on was born a healthly weight MashAllah. She’s now two weeks old and I was wondering if anyone can remember generally how old a baby is before they start taking a larger feed? Little one goes an hour 1/2 between feeds of 1 1/2 ounces of milk. We also have another daughter MashAllah (2 1/2) and I feel like my world is revolving around the little one and she isn’r getting much attention. I’m hoping someone out there is going to make me happy and say the bigger feeds start around when a baby is a month or so old?! I’m struggling to even leave the house because of the feeds!

Last question…little one hates her moses basket and refuses to lay in it. Someone suggested that she was too young to sleep in it and I should co-sleep with her until she’s about 6 weeks old. That makes sense as newborns like to be around their parents at the beginning. Anyone else done this and how did you transition little one after the 6 weeks into a crib/basket?

Thank you

Re: Quick question about bottle feeds frequency/co sleeping for first weeks?

what do you mean by bigger feed? Since my son lost some weight in the first week so I was suggested to supplement him 2oz formula at night. I was bf during the day, so I am not quite how much he consumed every time I feed him. I was feeding him every 2 hours.

I co-slept with my little one, he did not have any issue with his crib but I just wanted to be near him. He was fine transitioning back to his crib. We did not have any issues.

ps. Congratulation! :slight_smile:
