Unlike a lot of filmmakers, **Wes Craven** actually tweets pictures](http://twitter.com/#!/wescraven/status/32968863226269697) of what he's working on, and we appreciate that: -
According to [Deadline](http://www.deadline.com/2011/02/cobie-smulders-closes-in-on-avengers/), **[Cobie Smulders](http://www.moviefone.com/celebrity/cobie-smulders/2089742/main) -- **who was a top pick for 'Wonder Woman' when Joss Whedon was in charge of that movie** -- **is the current frontrunner to play S.H.I.E.L.D agent Maria Hill in **'The Avengers,'** which is the mysterious female role that Samuel L. Jackson alluded to earlier this week while on the Jimmy Fallon show. Hill is a tough, aggressive, no-nonsense former director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and if her storyline follows that of the one in the animated series 'The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes,' Hill will be "a central member of S.H.I.E.L.D. and a protege of Nick Fury serving as his second-in-command and being explicitly taken for tasks." The **Coen Brothers** [respond to **Tara Reid's** comments](http://www.austin360.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/austin/mo/entries/2011/02/03/will_there_be_a_big_lebowski_2.html) about being in **'The Big Lebowski 2.'** Spoiler alert: they were just as surprised to hear it was everyone else was. -
Though he believes no one can top Gary Sinise from the '94 miniseries, **Stephen King** does offer up a few [suggestions for actors](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/blogs/heat-vision/stephen-king-shares-thoughts-stand-96516) he'd like to see in the new, big screen adaptation of **'The Stand.'** -
